A Starry Night
A clear dark night is something I've come to appreciate more and more lately. The peaceful silence is only interrupted by the nocturnal critters. They are the ones awake creating the ambiance, and leaving much freedom for imagination to run wild.
If I close my eyes I am taken in by the whimsical sounds of the night! I'm beguiled by a symphony of drones and ribbits, with the odd coyote chatter rounding the chorus. When I open them and look up I’m treated to a majestic view of our happy galaxy twinkling its beauty back towards me. A surge of emotions spills into my soul, while a strange comforting feeling lifts any troubles off my shoulders. A few hours later I'm completely drained and carried off into a blissful sleep.
